42km Kangaroo Hoppet
Skiers will need a good level of fitness to experience the full course, which has some climbing and spectacular views over Rocky Valley Dam. Once you have crossed the finish line, mingle with other skiers and enjoy the after race vibe in the Falls Creek Nordic Bowl.
NOTE: The course is subject to change due to prevailing snow and weather conditions. Any changes to the course will be posted in Windy Corner Day Shelter, at the Hoppet Shop in Mt Beauty and on social media.

We also have special race day Hoppet buses departing from Mt. Beauty Hoppet shop 7am and after the event departing Falls Creek, Windy Corner at 1pm (or when full) and another one departing 3pm back to Mt. Beauty. Ski Hire for Overseas Skiers
Ski hire information for international visitors.
It is better if you can bring your own equipment. However, there are a couple of possibilities for hiring skis. As Hoppet time is very busy, you should book them before you come to Australia to be sure of not missing out.
There are two main ski hire shops that have good quality cross country ski equipment.
1. Falls Creek Cross Country, Situated at the start of the ski trails, Windy Corner Car Park, Falls Creek. They have a vast selection of skating skis and boot-binding systems.
