For the 42km Kangaroo Hoppet

1.  Half way (26km) To ensure competitor safety, no-one will be allowed to continue past the 26km point (in the Nordic Bowl) after 1.00 pm (or 3.5 hours after start time if there is a delay). The cut-off point will be halfway down the finish chute.

 2. Dam Wall (32km) A second cut-off at 2.00 pm, or 4.5 hours after the start, will apply at the near side of the dam wall.

 3. The jury may impose an additional cut-off beyond the dam wall on the second lap if it is determined that there is a risk to the health of the competitor and/or event officials/volunteers.

*Skiers who miss a cut-off may be credited with a Birkebeiner time and certificate.

For the 21km Australian Birkebeiner - New in 2018

1. Paralyser (12km) At the intersection of the Paralyser and the Two Pauls Track. No-one will be allowed to continue up the Paralyser after 12:20 p.m. or 2.5 hours after the start  time.

*Any changes to these cut-off times and locations will be announced.

We are going PLASTIC CUP FREE!

We have introduced a new environmental friendly initiative and will NOT be providing plastic cups at the drink stations on course. Instead you will need to carry your own drink bottle or hydration pack. Water and 32Gi will still be available at drink stations for refills.
