The Kangaroo Hoppet is now proud to present three amazing sporting events each year.
Whether you are an elite athlete wanting to take on the world’s best, a weekend warrior yearning for some more adrenalin in your life or you simply enjoy getting outdoors with your friends, we can offer you a range of exciting and exhilarating experiences in the beautiful mountains of the Alpine Shire.
Join us in the Upper Kiewa Valley, for the iconic Mt Bogong Conquestathon in March, the Mount Beauty Running Festival in May, and the Kangaroo Hoppet international cross country ski marathon at the Falls Creek Alpine Resort and Bogong High Plains in August.

2025 will be the 45th Conquestathon event.
Walk or run this challenging 21km loop to the summit of Mount Bogong (1986m) with 1286meters elevation in only 5.5km from the base of Staircase Spur, returning via Eskdale Spur to Camp Creek Gap, back to Mountain Creek Campground.

* Mount Bogong, the tallest mountain in Victoria is a mighty challenge and the organising committee strongly recommends that before attending on Saturday March 1st, you have undertaken a similar grade hike of at least 20km distance and 1,300 meters elevation gain, as training!
This is so you know what to expect and more importantly how to manage your nutrition and hydration throughout the day.

*** Participants Under 18 years must have a parent / adult guardian in attendance and contactable during the whole event. This can be either an adult on the course as a participant or waiting at Mountain Creek Campground
