The Australian Cross Country Skiing Training Diary is an initiative of the Skiing Australia Cross Country Committee. Designed by Paul L'Huillier, one of Australia's most experienced cross country ski coaches, the diary is for use by all ages and levels of ski racers (juniors/seniors/masters/beginners/elite) who wish to improve their racing performances. This diary will help you to plan your training, to set daily, weekly and long term goals, to monitor your stress, physical training and speed increases, to keep track of your race results and to provide a concise record which can be used in future years for your on-going planning. The training diary is an athlete's summary of what they have done and felt.
The Australian Cross Country Skiing Training Diary is also a great training resource, providing information on:
- Goal setting.
- Definitions of various training methods.
- Methods of determining the intensities of your workouts.
- What time to count as effective training time.
- How to plan your training for a year, month and week.
- How to make a self-evaluation and to analyse the year's training.
- Helpful training hints.
- Other reference sources to expand your knowledge of the sport.
