Australia's longest triathlon, the Great Alpine Challenge brings together three of the Alpine High Country's most popular sporting events.
Event 1 is the Mount Beauty Half Marathon held on the third Saturday in May.
Event 2 is the Kangaroo Hoppet held on the fourth Saturday of August.
Event 3 is the 55km Mitta to Mount Beauty mountain bike ride held on the last Sunday of October

Competitors who complete any three consecutive events are eligible for the award. Special awards in the Open and 40+ age classes are made each October based on the total times in that year’s Gold Award results. Medals can be collected from the Kangaroo Hoppet table near the Mt Beaut Bakery. Overall GAC winners will be presented as part of the official bike race presentation ceremony.
