Ski hire information for international visitors.
It is best if you can bring your own. However, there are several possibilities for hiring skis. As Hoppet time is very busy, you would want to book them before you come to Australia to be sure of not missing out.
There are three main ski hire shops that have good quality cross country ski equipment. Snowgum Wodonga has the best range of skis for classic technique.1. YMCA Windy Corner Cross Country Ski Centre. Situated at the start of the ski trails, beside the car park at Windy Corner, Falls Creek. 2. Rocky Valley Ski Centre, Kiewa Valley Hwy, Mount Beauty, (about 600m from the race office) Ph 61 3 5754 1118 http://www.rockyvalley.com.au
3. Snowgum Wodonga, 161 High St Wodonga (85 km from Mt Beauty on the road between Sydney and Mt Beauty) This is another specialist cross country store. This family also has vast international racing experience. They can arrange drop off and pick up from Mt Beauty or Falls Creek if required, and have a representative at Falls Creek during Hoppet Week. Ph 61 2 6056 6605.

We have found that many skiers bring their own boots to be sure of a comfortable boot.
Contact the businesses directly and tell them what you require. They will need to know ski length, skating or classic, ski pole length, and if you are bringing your own boots, the binding system
